Does your dream end up on your to do list? Would you advise a person to have "solve world hunger" as a to-do and that they timebox breaking this item into smaller, more actionable tasks that are somehow linked to the bigger to-do item (e.g. subtasks)?

BTW - got your book recently and only partway through, and thoroughly enjoying it. Apologies if the book has this answer and I've missed it or not reached it.

i didn't really. most of the material on the OTAAT blog has been thought up since the book came out and therefore isn't in the book. it's nice to have a forum to get across newer ideas.

i wouldn't timebox solve world hunger, no! i would, as you say, break it down into smaller, concrete, actionable tasks that contribute to that larger goal. and those go in the calendar.

Would it be on your to-do list though? Would it show up when you are prioritizing to do items into today, this week, this month...? I'm assuming you have a way managing the link between "big" things (e.g dreams) and the smaller timebox items and am I'm keen to understand that process. Thanks!
