There's lots of good advice here but I think that there is another, ultimately more fulfilling(?), way to sort out your Todo List. I describe it in a poem that I wrote last year titled 'Todo List':
i don't generally like poems (maybe i need to give myself time to relax into them more...) but i like this one. one can feed an eager to please, an addiction. and of course that's not good for the soul and may not be sustainable.
but at the same time, most of us do need to get lots done!
also, with a to-do list that is played out with intention, you can - and should - decide...not this not this not this not that not that nor that...but just this. and do that. it can be about being highly selective, highly intentional. and indeed that might be selecting art. or poetry.
